Summer Learning Journey / Maths / Day 1 / Week 2 /

This week for Summer Learning Journey. We had use our maths skills and find out what age  was Jessa Rogers. My answer is 25 I think that Jessa Rogers  was 25 years old.
On my D.L.O there will be a Number line how I found out that Jessa Rogers might be 25 years old. There will be reasons as well.

  2. Kia ora Liletina,

Firstly congratulations for finishing the Summer Learning Journey programme, what a tremendous achievement. I really appreciate your attempt to solve this mathematical-like equation! I am so impressed with the way you have laid your blog post out with colour and images.

Here are some of my workings -
    2010 - 1985= ....years
    9th April → 9th July = ....months
The difference between 7th and 9th = ....days
The answer is 25 years, 3 months and 2 days

The Manaiakalani cluster team and I are in the middle of going through your blog posts and tallying up points at the moment. While we do that don't forget, now that you've finished the programme, you can earn many more bonus points and help encourage other students to finish the SLJ programme by leaving thoughtful comments on other students' SLJ related blog posts!.

    Ngā mihi,
    Mani

  4. Hello Liletina! I like the way you've shown your working out leading up to your final conclusion. It definitely helps us understand the process you went through to get your answer! I personally really enjoyed this activity, and thought it was a really creative idea. She was definitely 25 years old, but can you find out the exact months + days? The strategy your using is very smart...Well done!

  5. Hi Liletina,
I like the way that you decided to work out this maths problem. I think that nearly everyone I have seen has done it another way. How did you find this activity? Was it harder than you expected? If it is possible could you find how many months and how many days she was? Keep up the good work.
