Swimming with Life Jackets/Kiwi Sport

L.I To learn how to be safe on the water.
This week is the last week for swimming I had fun doing swimming skills.

We had to find a life jacket that could fit us we put the life jacket on then we came and sit on the wall.
Next we had to swim from the half way to the other end of the swimming pool with our life jackets . We had to get in small groups so we can make a change this helps us with we are in the water to keep together and no one get lost.

For the next swimming skill we had to huddle together this helps us because if it windy or cold and if we do the huddle then we will be warm.
Our next one was to dive like a pencil dive we had to dive and touch the floor and come back up.

For last and final one we had to go to the wall stand up and put on hand at the back of your head and then we had to put other hand on top of our belly we had to jump into the water this helps us so we don't hurt or head.
We had to half-five and jump into water.
I had the best time at the swimming pools.

Basic Facts/

LI: To remember basic facts maths.
My time was 3 45s and I did all my addition questions.My time was 3 minute and 45 seconds . Yay !!! i have beated my old time that was 4:00 minutes.
I learned how to finish my basic facts boxes in  4:00 minutes.
How I learned by doing my basic facts boxes by learning and learning  

World Time/RWC

L.I-To learn about the time in different countries.
For this task we had to find the time in different countries when it was 6pm in Japan. An example we had to find time for Canada. The time in USA CA: 2am and NY: 5am. This helps by learning different time in other countries.
I learned from this task that there are different times for the west side and the north side of some countries. Why there are different time in the west or the north because those countries  are  bigger.

Rugby Players and Prefromese/RWC

L.I To learn about rugby players profile.
We had to write one of the all black rugby stars profile. We picked  Kieran Read. We wrote new information and new understanding that you might not know about  Kieran Read for example Kieran Read's height is 1.93 metres.
This activity helped me learn new things and new facts about Kieran read.
We found out his date of birth, height, weight position and country he was born in.

Places to visit in Japan/Inquiring

L.I To find 5 different places to visit.
My Group(Ong,Bella J,Sepleman and me)Picked 5 different places in Japan the 5 different places were  Mt Fuji,Tokyo,Nara and Osaka. We had to write facts and why we want to vist that place as example if I got 1000$ and I want to go to Mt Fuji I can explain why I want to visit Mt Fuji and give some Interspersing facts that will hook my mum  to make go to Mt Fuji.

Simple Machines/ Rube Goldberg/ Inquiry

L.I To learn about the five simple machines and apply what you learnt to make a Rube Goldberg machine.
Our Rube Goldberg machine was to use a putter. We had to try and make the putter hit the ball into the goal. My Movement was a Lever I had to do  it because I am pushing the marker which push the ball  and makes the ball go down the tunnel then goes through a hole down and push the putter. It helps the person that is  holding the putter  so they know went to hit the ball to go threw the goal.
My thought was that our simple machine was going to fail because the ball did not go threw the hole(Pulley).
My challenge was making sure that my finger pushes the marker.
Our simple machine we used was a putter. 
We had to make a plan because we wanted to see use that plan and create that simple machine.
The Most challenging thing about simple machine was the ball touching the putter.
What I would do differently-I think that hole might need to be bigger not smaller. 
The 4 main Ideas were
1-wheel and Axel.
2-Lever
3-Pulley
4-Inclined Plane.

Writing | Rugby events

LI: to apply inquiry, literacy and numeracy skills to learn about the RWC.
For this task we had to write down the day of the RWC, the event, and the memories of the RWC. The picture shows the All Blacks winning the RWC. As you can see the All Blacks won 3 RWC

Maths/Time Past and Furture

L.I To learn the past and future.
For this task we had to find our the year the rugby world cup as example the 20th rugby world cup is 2059. We also had to write how old we are going to be when we in that year.
In 2059 I will be 50 years old . This helps me by knowing what year the rugby world cup will be. I also learned that there are four years between rugby world cups.This helps me because I added four to each year to get the answer.

Reading/Whatposition

L.I To learn and find our there petition where they play.
We had to find out there position they play in rugby as example Sonny Bill Williams his position is Center we had to write some facts about him so we can hook the reader attention and find out new things and new information  about our characters. This helps us with our our rugby world cup.
Thanks to LS2 making this it really helps us with our Rugby world cup challenge.

Swimming/Kiwi sport

L.I To learn new safety skills.
For Swimming we had to Back Free Stroke to the plat form and then back. We had to repet it 2 but it was challenge because we need to do it bye our self unsted  of our swimming teacher telling us. We had to do it again but we had to turn into our back so we can breath. Then we had swimming race we had a swimming race so we can see if who is the fast  swimmer in our swimming class. We had to get in 3 groups in my group was Anglica Afatia and me Afatia went in to the finals so she had to vs the other groups winners.

For Writing we had to make our advertisement  my  advertisement was a poster I had to make a poster about what I am going to sell to Mr Wong I selling shampoo to Mr Wong. Here is my poster.

This week we had to do 7 different kind of Faulty reason we did 3 tasks that helps us with the meaning  for the Faulty reason there a four main topics about faulty reasons.

L.I What is  Flip, Rotation, and Translation and Refection

We did the pencil code so we can figure out a way to get to the finish line with the bomb grid we also had to  make a screen castfiy our work when we finished.

We had to make our Owen bomb grid and do it on a website called pencil code  there were 3 ways turn right,turn left and move forward.

We made bombs in our coding this is a 6x6.

Kiwi Sport/Swiming

L.I To learn new safety skills .We had to do stream lines to the plat  form and then swim back. We had to repeat the same. Next we had to swim front stroke we had to show our swimming teacher that we know we can swim and breath.We also had to swim a back stroke our swimming teacher told us some ideas what we can do  well we backing stroke.
I learned how to learn new swimming skills and be safe underwater.

Basic Facts/Speed Demon

For my basic facts boxes I did speed demon up to 10. I still need to learn this because I think the more I learn the more I get in my memory.I had 6 minters and 17 seconds to finish all my basic facts boxes.
I learned by practicing and practicing so I can get the answers in my head.

The book that I read was called Dog man and Cat Kid.I read this book because the writer had hook and got my attention. The Main things about book is to hook the reader attention so they can carry on reading and finding out what the book is about.
There were 12 topics in the book three of theme were the kitty sister,Hollywood Hero and The Talk.

L.I To deal with challenges.
We need to practices dealing with challenges. To deal with  challenges  the easily in the future.
We did a bus stop activity. We had to explain the challenges in the picture .I learned by dealing with challenges.
I learned by looking at the picture and seeing the emoting.

L.I To Identify False truths to Synthesis information for the CRAAP test.
For reading we had to do the same but we are different book the book that I have read is  about why sports should be banned. I had to also write why I disagree or agree with the writer I disagree with the writer because it does give me more information with why sports should be banned.

L.I What is  Flip, Rotation, and Translation and Refection
For maths our work  was to do a Bomb grid a Bomb grid is game with 5 squares  in 4 groups  there a two bombs in a square but they have to be different squares. We had to go pass every squares and get to the finish line .
We had to make sentences  with the arrows so the reader can understand where the arrow is going and where I think the arrow could go to.

CRAAP stands for
Currently-The Timeless of the info.
R-Relevance-how the infor fits your needs.
A-Authority-The source of the info.
A-Accurately-Reliability and correctness of the info.
P-Purpose-The Reason why the info exists.   

Q,A,R-Stands for Question and Reasons.

For Our first Task we had to do our knowledge and write what you know about Killing animals  we had to write on our Synthesis.Then we could read the article and find out what the book is about.

For Our Q,A,R. We had 10 different questions about the book we had to pick four different questions we had to think which box would it go on,
Four Main Ideas/What It means
Author and I-The Answer is not on text but it come our of your brain.
On my own.-The answer not in the book it in your knowledge
Right There-The Answer is right there.
Think and search-The Answer is in the text but you have to look different places to see if there is a another answer.

L.I To Flip, Rotation, and Translation
This week for maths we used had to take photos of our self and then Flip, Rotation, and Translation. We also had to write the meaning of it the meaning for the 3 main things are.
Flip,-A turn over to cause a sudden quick movement  
Rotation,-Moving  around 90 clock wise and Turning antyclock wise.
 Translation-Translate means when you a changing a word in to another culture..Like Tonga to English.'

L.I-To Identify the Pervasive text.

For Writing we had to learn about Loaded words and Emotive Language.

Loaded words mean Loaded words are words that have strong positive or negative meanings.

Emotive Imagery means Image.

We also had to make a slogan if you don't know what a slogan is it means like If you go the Nike the slogan for Nike is Just do it.

My Slogan is to keep it smooth.

I picked this slogan because it connects with what I want to sell I selling a shampoo.
