This week for summer Learing Journey we had to pick one Whakataukī I picked the Kiwi. On my D.L.O I explained Why I Picked the Kiwi. I also had to draw a Kiwi. I use a Image from New Scensitsit I Adbuite the Image.
Me again! :) What have you been up to lately? Have you been able to make it to the beach or to the park this summer? I hope you have had an amazing holiday so far! The weather has been so unpredictable, I don’t even think the weather man has been able to predict the weather correctly yet.
I really enjoyed your blog post and how creative you have been with the layout of everything! I am also super impressed with your beautiful picture that you drew and how you have attributed your image as well. While I can tell you've put a lot of effort into researching the Kiwi Liletina, this activity actually asks you to create a poster to share the whakataukī. A whakataukī is actually a saying or a quote that Māori use to make a point or statement that is aimed to help others see another way of thinking. For example, ‘A tree comes from one seed but bears many fruits’. This is a whakataukī that can be looked at in many ways but when I read it, it reminds me of my family. We have reigned from our ancestors and from them we have given birth to generations of people who carry our name, our culture, our traditions and our mana. If you go back and read the instructions on the Summer Learning Journey website there's a couple of examples to give you an idea of what a whakataukī is. Have another go and I'll check back in soon.
Hi Liletina! This activity you did was great, Great job for staying active with the Summer Learning Journey! What was the hardest part of this activity? Blog you later! ~ Florence
Ciao Liletina! This is a really nice poster about Kiwi's, although I don't think you have the right idea of the activity...We were asked to look at some Whakatauki and choose one that speaks to us the most, create a poster with a picture that represents your Whakatauki and share it on your blog explaining why you chose it. I really like your drawing of a Kiwi, though! Keep it up.
Hi Liletina, I really like the poster that you have created about kiwi's. I especially like the cartoon image of the kiwi that you have made. It looks awesome. It certainly is true that we are nicked named 'kiwis' over here. Keep up the excellent work.
Kia ora Liletina,
