AFL

 L.I : To learn how to tackle in A4L 


                                                            


For PB4L , The year 8 students did A4L , For A4L we learned about kicking , Tackling , Throwing and catching. PB4L is a sports thats all bout kicking so we first started off by learning how to kick the ball and kicking the ball to our other partner buddy.  Then we started off by catching the ball after the other person has kicked it. Then we got into partners and we needed to learn how to tackle in A4L and learned about why it is imporant to tackle like this ? and our coach gave us more facts on understanding and knowing the important reasons on why is it good tackling  under shoulders and above your hips.

Doubles tennis is when two player on against another two player.
Both player on each team should have turns at waiting the ball.
The person closer to the ball should hit the ball. We practised by
playing doubles.

Kiwi Sport/Swimming

L.I To learn safety swimming skills.
Here is what we did at swimming.


Stream Line if you don't know what are stream line is here it is./warm up
Stream Line is when we put our hand had he back of ears and when had to swim to end and if we wanted to breath we had to move one of our arm turn to the side.
We had to swim up and breath and then swim on our back like floating.


Rescue Time.
We had to be in partners my partner was Afatia one has to be in the pool and one has to be out side of  the pool holding a noodle and the person that in the pool has to hold the noodle and the saving the person has to push  the noodle.


Play Time.
Our teacher gave us play sticks our teacher had to throw the stick around the pool and we have to swim down and grab it also we had a challenge the challenge was to swim and get it without sanding up.

Kiwi Sport/Swimming

L.I To Learn swimming safety.
Here is what is what we have learn at the YMCA swimming pools this week.

Stream Line
Stream Line is when we put our hand had he back of ears and when had to swim to end and if we wanted to breath we had to move one of our arm turn to the side.
We had to swim up and breath and then swim on our back like floating.


Swimming on our backs.
We had to swim on our backs so we can put our tummy up not our chest and also that we can have small fast kicks.

Survival stroke
We had to do a dolphin kick like wobbling our body and we also had to kick well we a wobbling our body.

Dolphin dive
For Dolphin dive we had to dive to the bottom of the pool and swim back and up.


Half-Five Swim
We had to half-five our teacher and then swim to end.


I learned new swimming skills.

Kiwi Sport Swimming

L.I To learn swimming Safety
Here is what we did for swimming our swimming teacher was James.

Stream Line
Stream Line is when we put our hand had he back of ears and when had to swim to end and if we wanted to breath we had to move one of our arm turn to the side.

Stream Line Twisting
For this we had to do the same but we had turn around on to our back and cont to six and then turn back around into our steam line and cont to six we ha repeat this over and over.

Stomach touch the ground.
We had to swim under the water and make our stomach touch the ground and then swim back up.


Floating kicking
For Float kicking we had to use a kickborad we had to use the kickborad because we need to learn how to kick under water and kick above the water.

Swim and never stop or stand up.
This week for swimming we had to swim a the other end with our standing up we could use and different kind of swimming skills.

Half-Five Swim
We had to half-five our teacher and then swim to end.

I learned new safety swimming skills.

Hit/Kiwi Sport.

L.I To exercise and be fit.
This week for kiwi sport we did hit. For hit we did pull up on the bars monition climbing and press ups. This  helps us getting our heat rate up.

Pull on the bars.
We had to lie down on the floor and then will be a stink in front of you then you have to hold the stick and push up and make sure that your chest touches the stick . This helps our arms because  we are trying to pull up.


Montian climbers 
For montian climbers we have to move our legs up and down as fast as we can. If it is to hard we can do it on the floor. This helps our legs keeping moving.

Press ups
For press up have to be on our neas do a press up we have to make our chest touch the other person hand. This helps you making sure your heart rate goes up.

Kiwi Sport/Gymnastics

L.I To Learn new gymnastics skills.
This week is the last week for gymnastics I had a lot of fun learning new gymnastic skills and leaning how to do a backwoods roll on the floor.
We started off by playing a game called stuck in middle gymnastics. Then we stated of by remember   from the past few weeks our stretch.

Here are the Stretch:
The L Shape.
The cat stretch
Seal Stretch
Butterfly wings

First Rotation 
For the first rotation we had to do kick on the bean and well we a walking then we have to do a cartwheel on the blue mat. The we had to do a 3 60 jump from the stage to the floor.Next we do a front roll on the bean the last one is to do bunny hops on and off the bean.

Second Rotation 
For the second rotation. We had to run and jump on the trampoline and then  do a star jump then do a front roll but on when it your second time you have to run and do a front roll. Then we had try do a  back flip on the floor. Then we do a hand stand,Front roll and a hand stand again on the blue mat. Next we do a straight jump.


Last Rotation 
For the last rotation we had to do swing our leg up and down from the stairs. The we do a front support back support and a side support.Next one we had to do a hand stand well holding a stand. Then we had move our leg forward and backwards.   Next we had sit down there will 3 hand stand  then you hold on them and put up you trying make sure you bum there not touch the ground.

Kiwi Sport/Gymnastics

L.I To learn new skills and new gymnastics skills.
This week on Thursday we had gymnastics in the morning. First we started of by playing a game The game was called infinity tag.

Then we did stretched we learn two new stretches they  were step step   and then one we had to try and reach down and left our other leg up.
Then we did Butterfly,The L.

Our First Rotation
We had to go on the bean and put our foot forward and backwards,Te=hen we had to a front flip on the bean the last one was that we had to do hop over the bean.

Second Rotation
Our Second Rotation we had to do a black flip on the floor,Then we had to a back flip into spearting out your legs,We had to do a hand stand Then we had to do a straight    jump  then the last one is when we have to run jump on the trampoline and then stand on the seconded time we have to a front roll.

Last Rotation.
On the last rotation we had to a handstand Front support,Parallel Bars and then we had to do a back to side and front rotation. 

I was really happy because I getting to know what to do and how we can do it.

Kiwi Sport/Gymnastics

L.I To learn new skill's.

This week on Thursday in the morning we had kiwi sport we  started of with stretches.

The stretches that we did  this week was The L shape,Seal,Butterfly,Cat,Straddle,Back to front and the side support.

 This is our first rotation
First we had to walk on the bean and when we get to the middle we get to jump and then still walk then we have to do cartwheel on the blue mat then we have to roll of the stage onto the floor and we have to do bunny hops over the bean and then the last one we had to roll on the bean.

On the 2 Rotation
 We had to do a back roll and then do one on the floor then we had to put our legs up and then we had to handstand the second to last thing we had  jump and so straight     jump for the last one we had to run and jump string and then do a front roll for the seconds time you have to jump and do a front roll

On the last rotation
For our last rotation  we had to do a side support,front support. and a back support then we have to make our legs straight on the stars then we have to a handstand with the stand then we have put our hands on the pole and then move our leg front and backward  then we had to move our shoulders down and up well we a holding the stand.

Reflection
I was happy and scared why I was scared because when we have to jump we had to do a front roll and I was scared because I thought I would  break my arm or leg.

Kiwi Sport

L.I To develop our body movements of balance,Rotation and strength.

Today for kiwi sport we started of  with stretches. He also made this week gymnastics harder. The hand stand was kind of hard because it I feel like I am going to fell but I am not going to fall.

The stretches that we did  this week was The L shape,Seal,Butterfly,Cat,Straddle,Back to front and the side support.

We had to get into the groups we were last week the we started of with Rotation 1 in Rotation we had The bean on the bean we had to go backward,Box on the box we had to do a cartwheel and the last one we had Bench for a  forward roll.  We also had to jump over the bean.

On the 2 Rotation we Had a trampoline on the trampoline we have to jump of it and land with a starfish.  Then we had to do a backwards roll the we had to do a 1 kg scarp  hand stand On the handstand we had a stand we have to hold and and put our legs on the wall..Then we had to for a Half 180* Jump.

On the last rotation we had to a handstand Front support,Parallel Bars and then we had to do a back to side and front rotation.

Reflection.
What was different the different about it was that that this week we had some new things that I never tried before.
The backwards roll was hard for me because I not really good and doing rolls.

Kiwi sport.

L.I To learn basic gymnastics skills.
Today was the first session for kiwi sport in term 2.We did Gymnastics.Our crouch name was called Steve he gave us simple inductions .He told us to skip well he is Clap when he stop claps then we have to freeze he also told us why he his giving us these inductions . Because he want's to see what we need to work on.

For the second Activity we were put into group one group 2 and group 3 I was group 2.There were 3 stations.My group work on walking on the bean and doing cartwheels the other groups worked on they station we all had to move to three stations.We did all the most challenging station was walking on the bean Because it was to high and I sometime scared of heights.

I learned how to do a front roll and how to walk on a bean.
How I learned  listing and doing the right thing.

Today we had to go and put on our rippa tag on and play the game. Anglica and I was the katiakca so we had to guide the ball from getting to the tupu. I learned how run guide and rip there tag off. It was our last  ki o rahi.  Today was fun.

Kiwi Sport

L.I  To play ki o rahi [kiwi sport]
Today we had kiwi sport. First  we had to get tags and out them on then we choose  who going to be the katihaku  then our Leander told us what we going to play  so the red team is the people that will be inside they can come out to take out tag but we have to run with the key  and touch the pole and then we go inside and score a goal. then we had turns then when we finished we took off out tags and put it back to where it belongs.
I learned was how to pass the ball around.

Kiwi sport/The legend of Rahi

L.I To learn the original basic of ki of rahi and game of ki p
Today for kiwi sport we were learning information about the legend of rahi. Then we watched a video about a story of him and his wife. When someone kidnapped the wife and rahi looked for her. When we finished watching the video. We played a game called tangiwha & kaoma this game was like rats and rabbit. So we played until we find the winner of the game. The winner was kaoma. For our second game we played 8 passes. So we have to pass the ball to our team mates with only 8 pass.  our last game we played is our couch say number of us and a sport and we have to play that sport.

L.I  Learning new boxing silks.
This week was the last week of boxing. Today we were putting all the skills that we have learn in to one pice so that we can do it with out getting help so we had to be in partners my partner is Farzana we had to be are A or B  so farzana said she will be B and i will be A so the A has to go and put on the boxing gloves and when we finished b has to go and get the noodle.We had to go out side to do are warm up so we had to do jabs  in 10 up to 50 then we had to go up to the court and we had to boxing first we started of jab cross Gide cross we had do that for 10 time so that we could do it without helping  and then we had to do jab cross bridge cross and  we all did it and the 2 to last one we had to do are U and then do are u


pacte when we finished. When we finished we had to  do leaf hook right hook right upacte left upacte . when we finished we have to soup it around and do the same things.Thanks to Pax for teaching us new boxing skills

Kiwi sport

L.I Learning new  boxing skills.

Today for kiwi sport we were learning about contersso we did combos as
well so our church told us that we will be in partner when we finished being
in partners then we one person has to to put the boxing gloves on and the
older person has to hold the noodles when we finished we had to do  and our
first one was that we had to to do like the older combo last week but our first
one we had to block the noodle from smacking our head then when they
finished we had smacking us with the noodle then we have to do are cross
left hook cross right hook.
When we finished we had to the slide one
so when the try to hit you but you slide back so they do not hit
but when you finished you slide forward then you hit it so you
do are left hook and right the are jab with are left and are right
and then you do are right upcate and are left upcate.
Then we had to do our hit the shoulder so the other
person has to to try and hit our shoulder but we have to
move to the other side so they will not hit us and that when
we finished we have to do are right hook and a left then we
had to do our last thing and out last one was that we had to
do are U and then do a upcate  when we get to the other side.

Today for kiwi sport we were learning how to defend and she asked us why do we need to defend  we said so that we could protect our face and our body and then we stated with one first and the first one was are combo and the combo is that we had to the other breson has to slap us with the noddle but soft and we had to put our gloves where there hitting.


when we finished we had to do our second combo and our second combo was that we had to the bridge and the bridge so the  person that go the noodle has try and git you but you are slid  back who that they want smack you with the noodle and when we finished doing that we had to the moving head.

If they hit you on your left shoulder you have to move to the right so that will not hit you again and that we had to do our last combo and our last combo was that we  had to do are u like  our partner will be holding the noodle straight and we have to go under it like are U

kiwi sport

Today for kiwi sport we were learning how to do boxing so we started by being in partnerrs and we had to do rock paper sizer shoot and who ever win has to stand up and then Pax said if you won you have to get a boxing gloves and another glove also we had to get it in 30 seconds and our partner has to help each other. My partner for boxing was Leon and the other preson had to get a noddole and the preson that is holding the noodle has to hold it and the other preson had to do 5 of the combos and here is one you have to do 2 jabs and one cros on left hook right hook and then right upacat and then left upacate
