Summer Learning Journey / Task 9 / My Hana Kōkō Design

 L.I To design Santa Claus a new dress up.

                                       

For another summer learning task we created Santa Claus a new dress up. First we needed to watch or read a story about Santa new dress up , We then needed to design these yourself by using google drawing tools . I thought it would be cool to make Santa Claus a Hat , Shorts , T-Shirt and a Bag , I created these by using google drawing tools. I think I didn't find this task tricky because it was really easy to use the google drawing tools and to find images on google that can also help me create these. 

Summer Learning Journey / Task 8

L.I To complete the slide which one doesn't belong their.  

 

 For a another this weeks summer learning journey. We needed to create an slide. This slide was worked really well with my group as we shared out ideas and really found the task really cool to do. I think this task is one of my favortive tasks so far. But Hope to see more tasks coming . Have a great and safe holiday .

SLJ Week 1 / Task 6

 L.I : To create Illusions weather we are drawing handed or online. 

                                                                                        

Today's summer learning journey task we needed to create an Optical Illusion, The DLO showing above was create by me and my partner(Aisea) from LS1. I really enjoyed doing this activity  because it was fun and cool to do. I created this by using the drawing tools and making it really cool to see.  I really liked working with my partner as we find different types of illusions and deiced to pick an illusion we should create by using the drawing tools.

SLJ Week one / Activity 6

 L.I: To translate words from English to Te Reo Moari. 

  

The DLO showing above is a task that was created by my group(Densyn and Mayson). This is the second task for today. We needed to translate these words from Maori into English. We also worked really well to complete this task. We also needed to listen to the videos that will help us understand what to do and so we can get this task done and dusted. 

SLJ Week 1 Activity 5

L.I To create a kowahiwahi pattern to represent summer

Today I learnt when it is very hot and the air is shimmering Tanerire preforms the haka for his mother, Hine-Raumati, This happens in summer as the land heats up. Our Challenge was to think about this while we designed our own kowhaiwhai pattern that represents summer.   I found this activity really fun as I worked with my Partner Densyn from 5 to help me understand what to do for this task and what we could draw that will make our DLO represent summer.

SLJ Week 1 Activity 4

LI: To create a piece of insect art.                     

Inspired by art creations by Raku Inoue we went outside and collected leaves, twigs, and other plant debris to create our own insect images. I found it quite hard to put these leaves and other different of leaves together to make an insect. I enjoyed doing this as I liked making an Dragon Fly and I really enjoyed put these colours together like white and yellow.  To make the task more interesting we needed to write 3 cool and fun facts about your insects here are some of my facts. 

Here a three interesting facts about an Dragon Fly:

1. Dragon Flies don't usually sting people or bite. 

2. They have been around for 300 million years.

3. Groups of Dragonflies are called Swarms. 

SLJ Week 1 Activity 3

L.I : To create your own comic strip of an imaginary conversation.

My comic strip shows the conversation I imagine these two people had after one of the men had sneezed his teeth into the sea during a fishing trip. I found this challenge really funny as I tried to make this task funny as well. I worked with my partner Densyn from room 5 . I also helped them by working together and understanding what to do.

LI: To write a quality blog comment on someone else’s blog that starts a rich learning conversation.

                                                   

The image showing above is an high quality comment I did. I deiced to comment on Malachi's blog. He created his first summer learning task for this year. Leaving an positive high quality comment helps the blogger understand what she/he can change on their next blog post. I think his blog post was really amazing to read as it hooked me into reading what his blog post is about. I also gave him feedback so he can understand what to do on his next summer learning journey task.

LI: To collect materials needed to successfully complete our weekly superpower building missions with Nano Girl.

This morning we started off by doing the summer learning journey task with the year 7’s and 8’s.They helped us by understanding what to do. My partner from LS2 was Liletina and she helped me understand what to do. I really found it fun and interesting to work with her. I think I found this task really interesting to do as I learned new things with Nanogirl. If you dont know who nanogirl is she is one amazing girl thats going to helps us with the Summer Learning Journey and to understand what to do. She also explain whats to do and what the task is about. .
