Hauora

LI: To draw and label your own Hauora diagram.

This DLO, is showing an understanding of the four walls, witch are Taha Tinana,Taha Whanau, Taha Wairua and Taha Hinereingo) If the four wals are standing it builds up your confidents and understands who you are when you set your goal and achive it at the same time. The DLO was created in our inquiry group, We created this by sharing our ideas and collabortivtleying what we need to write, what are the meangings behined the four walls.

  LI: Find as many similarity's and differences as you can between the video and the text of in the beginning.     

We watched a video about the Maori creation story and we also read a text that was also about the Maori creation story, when comparing them together there were some noticeable differences. Our task was to write down the differences and the similarities of the video version and the written version. Our group enjoyed doing this because it helped us know the difference between the two different   I enjoyed this task to because I liked how we had to find out what had happen. 

  

Pulleys

 L.I : To use our smart searching skills to find out about pulleys.

These DLO's showing above is about an Diagram showcasing an Labelled Diagram about an Inclined Plane , Screw and a Pulley. We did this by reading and understanding the meaning , and watching video , we also did this by writing down notes to help us create our summary. In my group I worked with Te Raumati , Tyson , Moti and Siale. We also created an 25 word summary that helps the readers understand what is an Inclined Plane , What is an Screw and What is an Pulley. We also really enjoyed finding images and tracing them out to help us create our Diagram, then we also labelled our drawing's to make it easier for our readers to understand.

This DLO is about me, This DLO can help you understand some things you may know or may not know about me. The  Dare program helps us and inform us with things that can kill us and helps us make wise choices.  What I really enjoyed was writing down My goals for this year. One of my goals is to  get 1000 blog posts by the end of the year. I also enjoyed writing down things I enjoy doing and what my favourite food.

Careers Pathway / Transaltor

L.I To create an DLO about your careers pathway.

This DLO shows what I will need to study to be a Translator. My Careers Pathway DLO helps me find the  important things I need to do to become a Translator, I deiced to be a Translator, I need to at least know 2 languages or more to be a Translator, I have to be able to write well, It will help me get a scholarship and graduate. This DlO helps me with what I need to do and how I can become a Translator.

         This DLO talks about the 4 wall standing and what they create to make them more strong. The 4 walls build something so people are happy instead of being upset.  I worked with my team  to make the 4 wall stand strong.  I used images in my DLO to show you the 4 wall house that my group built.

This is my DLO, This DLO is about the 4 walls which is called Taha Whanau, Taha Wairua , Taha Tinana and Taha Hinengaro. Hauora is a Maori belief of health. Its tells meanings and information about the 4 walls. The 4 walls standing creates something strong to become more self-control. 

Making connection to problem solving.

L.I To explore problem solving. 

 

Today we had a technical problem with our internet so we learnt about tangrams. We were challenged to make a tangram puzzle out of an A4 piece of paper and a pair of scissors. We listened carefully to and followed the instructions to create our shapes.   Tangrams  helped us understand more about problem solving as we were challenged to turn the shapes into different animals .  Tangrams are an ancient Chinese puzzle.  Problem solving is about following instructions, finding a solution, asking questions, communicating with other people and working together to solve the problem. All things we did today with this problem solving challenge.

Experimenting with Ultraviolet light.

L.I To find the most effective UV filter.

LS2 has been trialling the electronic sensors for the kiwrious project. We are working with Surnga,Sonia,Evan,Dawn and Yuonne from the AHL at Auckland university.  What I found that the paper tail was the most efficient filter to keep Zally safe from the UV.  

Optical Illusion

L.I:  To explain what an optical Illusion. 

This DLO shows what is a optical Illusion and how an Optical Illusion happens. On this DLO it shows what Optical l Illusion means. We used one Optical l Illusion and found out what wrong with it. I worked with my group to find interesting information about optical l Illusion information. Mr Johnston also came in to help us with this.

We worked collaboratively to create a DLO that shows facts about light. One fact that interests me is Light is made out of 7 colours which is called ROYGBIV because the 7 colours are blending together to make a rainbow.

How periscope works?

L.I To  understand how a periscope works.

Mr Johnston came and taught us what periscopes are,how they are used and who uses them. We found 

that the angle of incidence equals there angle of incidence equals the angel of reflection.That means if the light hits the mirror at 4.5 deggreesit reflects the light back.

It was fun because we get to write our names on the mirror.

WHat is a Enterprise and business

LI: To Define and describe the terms Enterprise and Business . This terms Inquiry 's understanding is about Enterprise and Business. Business mean trading or someone does something for you and then you return the favour.  Enter prize mean a project or undertaking, especially a bold or complex one. Our task was to search as many companies we know. But we had to do one hundred to help us with the next task we had to do. For the previous task we had to collaborate in groups of three. We did food,Technology, and clothing company's. 

Inquiry/Rube Goldberg

L.I Ton understand who Rube Goldberg is.
This week for Inquiry  we had to find out things about Rube Goldberg. We had to use the 5 Ws what when where why who how. We had to work in groups in my group was Lukha Oscar Xiavier,Vayan  bella jhon Leon and me.
I learned new facts and information about Rube Goldberg.

Simple Machines
This week we had to do simple machines we had to make the simple machines with our body and our other team mates. We had to make this machines with our body because we wanted to see if we could do it without the Blindflorders and with the blindfloders.

Earth and Beyond L.I To activate our prior knowledge.

Planet Jigsaw -L.I To find,Select and Rec~^ word facts then share and discus collaboratively to build a complete jigsaw.

This Term for Inquiry we had to blog all of the task we have be doing from the past few weeks.

The past few weeks we did Earth and Beyond/Planet Jigsaw,English and Samoa/ .

Earth and Beyond 

For Earth and Beyond we had to use our knoladge and answer the question. The questions were about space and our solar System. We had to go on AutoDraw and we had to draw the planet.

Planet Jigsaw
For Planet Jigsaw we had to find the answer for the questions this was a kind of competition. I really like this one because I get to write inter string facts about the planet and find new facts that we have not learned before.

English and Samoa
We had to write interesting information about the planets and we had to write planets in samoa  it as example sun and in Samoa is is Le La but we did not finish yet we had to do WIP. 

Inquiry/Rockets

L.I To understand what is needed for space exploration.
This week for Inquiry we have been learning about rockets we had find the   Distance for  the straw rocket.We had to do a straw rocket with no fins straw rocket with two and a straw rocket with the for fins. We also had see if our prediction was supported. We also had be in groups in my group was Taua,Sione and me.

L.I To understand what is needed in space travel.
This weeks we will be learning about rockets. Yesterday We had to do this vs that for that we had to be in partners my partner was Afatia we had find a real  rocket and we had to do a fiction rocket our fiction rocket is  The Milano  and our real rocket is Saturn v here is our D.L.O.

 

For our second we had to make a map and we has to list 10 place and we had write down our teacher gave us a website will all the countries and how much rockets has launched here is our map i also worked with Afatia.

 They will be  rocket icons so you have to press it then you will come up with the information 

that we found and wrote on this google map.I hope you enjoy.

L.I To write a poem and perform the poem.
On 29 of march 2019. We had to write a poem but we had to pick a type. The type of poem that I picked is Diamante  about happy I picked words that links to happy here is example happy and sing
Then we had to sit down and tell LS1 our poem and our teacher had to voted it to see if LS1 has heard what you said and if the reader gave you eye contaica. Then it was my turn and I went up and said my poem then my teacher gave me a vote. This is my poem.
