Maths word problems

  1. I had 45 apples and I shared them with 5 people. How many did each person get? 45 5  = 9
  2. I had 16 lollies and I gave 7 to Zepplin. How many do I have left?
16 - 7 = 9


  1. I had 15 presents and I bought 5 more. How many do I have altogether?
15 + 5 = 20
  1. Alisha has 2 cats and Sulia took 1 away. How many does Alisha have now?
2 - 1 = 1
  1. Hinemoa has 6 cats and Lorenzo has 7 dogs . How many animals do they have altogether?
6 + 7  = 13

  1. Texas had 20 apples and he shared them with Oscar. How many did each boy get? 20 2=10
  2. I had 30 lollies and I shared them with  Kruse and Leroy. How many we each get? 30 3 = 15  
  3. Kruse had 16 lollies and Leon stole 7. How many lollies does Kruse have left.
16 - 7 = 9
  1. Mr Ken had 13 children in his class and Mr Wong had 15 children. How many children were there altogether?
13 + 15 28
  1. I have forty dollars and my dad gave me fifty dollars. My mum gave me another ten dollars. How much money do I now have altogether.
40 + 50 + 10  = 100
  1. I had fifteen dollars  and lost seven dollars at the park. How much money do I have left
15 - 7 = 8
