Cybersmart

 L.I : To learn how to keep your drive clean.

For this cybersmart task , We created an Slide helping John clean his drive. We created this working with my group Joshua and Te-Raumati , We worked together by sharing our ideas and understanding what to do , why is it important , why is it good and why is it bad. I liked working with my buddies because we shared our ideas. We also worked collaboratively.  This cybersmart helped us understand why it is food to put the correct things in the right folder. 

AFL

 L.I : To learn how to tackle in A4L 

                                                            

For PB4L , The year 8 students did A4L , For A4L we learned about kicking , Tackling , Throwing and catching. PB4L is a sports thats all bout kicking so we first started off by learning how to kick the ball and kicking the ball to our other partner buddy.  Then we started off by catching the ball after the other person has kicked it. Then we got into partners and we needed to learn how to tackle in A4L and learned about why it is imporant to tackle like this ? and our coach gave us more facts on understanding and knowing the important reasons on why is it good tackling  under shoulders and above your hips. 

Culture is......

  LI: To write a TEEL paragraph about what we think culture is.

For this task I worked collaboratively to write a TEEL paragraph about what we think culture is the first thing we did was watch videos and take notes about why different cultures are unique and have have different traditions and life styles. We then created a describing wheel or a word wheel that have important keywords that could help us wright our paragraph about culture. TEEL paragraphs stands for Topic sentence, Evidence, Elaborate, and Linking.

Summary

   L.I To create an Summary about Ngatus.                                   

For this task , We created an DLO about our summary. For our summary we worked with our group , My

group read an article called Ngatu. Ngatu is a ( Tapa Clothing) that is used in special occasions(celebrations) Ngatu can be used in different cultures such as Tonga and Samoa.  We needed to find the first 20 words that is important , then find the 6 most imporant words. After finding the words we needed to make an Summary about Ngatu's using the words.  

PB4L

 L.I : Learning about why it is important and why is it good to wear the correct uniform. 

                                 

For this task , We created an DLO showing about why is it good to wear school uniform , and why is it important to wear school uniform. For this DLO I worked with my group and shared our ideas on why it is important to wear correct school uniform. We also talked about it with our teachers and class mates to help us write more ideas. 

Tech Refection

L.I : To start building our creation. 

For this week the year 8's students worked with Mr Grundy by creating their creation. Then we got into our groups from week 3. We got paper , Pencils , Rulers and other equipment to use. In this task we also learned about measurements. For our task we needed to find something that we would like to create for the next past few weeks.   I deiced to create an Piano. I started off by ruling the lines , making sure it 160cm. For this tech session I really enjoyed drawing , getting helped , making sure I uses saftey tools.  

PB4L

L.I : To create an How we leave the classroom?

For this task , I worked with my partner. My partner and I created an DLO how we leave the classroom and why it is also good to tell the teacher where we went. Creating this DLO also helps us learn how to make the right choices. This was a cool and fun task to do as we both knew what to write and used our knowledge. Working with my partner was really fun as we talked about it together. I also liked creating images by drawing them using the drawing tools.

Cybersmart

LI: to give a helpful tip to people who are starting with chromebooks. 

For this task , I decided to work with my friends. This task was about creating an DLO about Cybersmart. We first started off by introducing what Cybersmart is? We then introduced how to work google meets and what you should do in a google meet. After we created an another slide showing tips and shortcuts on knowing how to use our laptop correctly. I really enjoyed working with my group and helping other understand the safety reasons on being cybersmart.  I also liked writing what I knew about cybersmart , Did you know that cybersmart is also all about being safe online and choosing the right choices online.

Outside the box

LI: To think outside the box, be creative and complete the picture

This challenge was about thinking outside the box and being creative. For this challenge I needed to create a picture with this squiggly line.  I really liked working with my partner cause we helped each other and we both had FUN . We both really enjoyed working as group , Having fun , and laughing about our work. We had so much fun ! We also had so much fun create an DLO showing what we did , what we liked , what we enjoyed what was cool about this task.

Optical Illusions

L.I : To create an Optical Illusion and write what it means.

After using our smart searching skills to find out what optical illusions are we were challenged to create our own optical illusions, For this task My group and I worked collaboratively and shared our ideas onto learning how to create an Optical Illusion. We then wrote what it is  and what our optical Illusion shows and what it means. For this optical Illusion we created it by using the drawing tools. 

I really enjoyed doing this task as I learned what is an Optical Illusion and What our optical illusions means.

Sporcle Challenge

 L.I To create an DLO about the Sporcle Challenge. 

                                                                                                                                         

The DLO showing above was worked collaboratively with my partner. We wrote what we enjoyed and what the challenge is. We first went onto the website and read the introductions to understand what the game is about and How we can play. We also then find quizzes that gives us more understanding into learning what the topic is about. 

Tatau

 LI: To create a DLO that tells others about tatau.

                                                                            

Tattooing has played an important part in many cultures over time. Our challenge was to use our smart searching skills to find out about traditional tattooing in our own culture. I really enjoyed doing this task as I get to learn a lot more about my Culture. I also really liked working with my partner as we shared our ideas and worked collaborative. The most interesting fact I learnt was some people do tatting to represent their culture. My partner and I used our searching skills to find facts and information about tattooing and what it means to our culture. I found this task hard because I didnt really understand anything about tongan tattooing after asking my mum and dad for some ideas to understand about tongan tatting.
