Adding Maths Decimals

 L.I how to add decimals. 



For this DLO , Afa and I worked collabortivtley , shared our opinions , to understand the stagatey we are working on, For our groups we were understanding the stragtey we learnt for the past few days. 
I really enjoyed learning this activty as I learnt how to use decimals also knowing how to use it. We also worked collabortivtly to understand where we start from and how we can get the answer. We first watched videos to understand what we first needed to do , to try and get the correct answer to the right question. 


Flowcharts and Radio Chart

 L.I To understand how to flowcharts to relate to coding blocks 

To understand how to get the microbot to talk to another microtbot , using radio signals. 


Here is my flowchart practicse docoument. 


The next activity today was coding the microbit to send a radio signal to another microbit. We had to make sure that both microbits were on the same group number so we didn't accidentally get a message from another group.

Then vs Now Olynpics

 L.I : To compare then and now with the Olympics Places. 


The DLO showing above is about the amount of money that was spent to build and help with the olympics. My reading group wrote some No and yes ideas as example yes they should spent this money to make their families proud , also with No because people could use the money with vaccines. We also found some photos of them and now happening every four years.

Robotics in the Stars

 L.I To try and get the Mbot to draw and make a star. 


 

This week , is Matariki we also the last week for tech this term. This Morning the yr8 students were tryning to focas on making our Mbots to create an Matariki star My partner and I , Ong worked togther collabortivtley , by agreeing and disagreing on what we should keep the same and change to create out matariki star.  Iteration's ( meaning by being paitent and understading weather we should change it to make the angles the correct way.

Matariki

LI: To strengthen our connections to Matariki.



This DLO was desgined , to understand the Matariki Stars celebration that's going on this week , Our group created this DLO and compltedted it by working collabortivtely , understanding what,why,who and the matariki stars. We also started being creative and drawing our own stars. By creating this DLO we used our searching skills and looked through websites to find facts and information about the Matariki stars. Matariki takes place eahc year when the cluster of the stars knowen as Matariki. The new year is a time of new beginingins and is a time to embrace the trandtions.The new year is a time for new beginnings and is a time to embrace tradition . To strengthen our connections to Matariki we had a choice of research activities. I enjoyed this activty as I learnt more information about the Maori Cultures. I found out the matariki stars appear in June and july and disapera's after the months.

Matariki Harvest Birds

 L.I : To create an DLO working collabortivley , understanding the Matariki Harvest Birds. 


This DLO , was created by Aisea , Vayan , Oscar and myself we decied to chose this task for one of our Matariki challenges , We also used our searching skill's to find out facts and information understanding and learning about the Matariki Harvest Birds. We searched it up by finding website's that give us really helpful information also to help us understand the birds that are traped from people to have as their hangi for the family feast. We also learnt the differnt tools they use to trap the birds such as a Net , Rope and many other things 

Greek Mythlogy

 L.I : To create an Slide , acting like we're posting photo's on Instagram.


For this DLO , we needed to try and find images and use caption's actling like we're posting on Instagram and using captains as example (The leader of the sea) #rulerofthewater , Didnt physically go on Instagram , We created DLO's looking like it was Instagram. For this DLO , Ong and I worked collabortivtely and shared our opionos , we also looked for images that are really good and usefull to use as our post. For this DLO , we did 4 godde's witch were ( Zeue's , Hera , Poseidon and Demeter ).

The DLO showing above is one of the task's Mrs Sleena gave to us to try and finish also to help with her website(Iseeme) with her website it helps pasfika people around the world understand the cultures , who we are , and who you and your whanau is identfyed as. We started off by chossing one of the six main topics (Objects , Future , Places , People , and Stories ) . We used an tracking sheet to help us know where we are at , These challenges will still be going over the holiday's aswell. 


Meet the Noun Family

 L.I : To create an prestation understanding and showing what is an Abstract Noun Poem. 


This DLO showing above has introduced what is an Abstract Poem , also what are nouns. An Abstract Noun poem is somthing that exist but cant be physically touched. We also introduced the Noun Family , We introdueced it by createing images , and tracing them out , also by writing sentince's examples. Rj , Leroy and Akhuata and I worked collabortivtely by understanding the meanging's.

Coding in Phython

 L.I : To Learn how to code the Microbot in the Phyton.


For this example the buttons , the main thing to notice is "def" witch is defeing what the on_button_pressed will make to miscbitt do. Again this has a top and bottom so the content has to go insde it. 



The first one shows the Phyton coding for flashing heart. It flashes between a small heart icon and a large heart Icon. The Main thing to notice between the Phython coding and the blocks is the the forevea loop is the top and bottom of the content in both.
