Helping Tanisha / Care Awards

Today I helped Tanisha. Tanisha is a new person to Panmure Bridge School. I wanted to make her feel welcome to this school. I get to help her with Tech,write about what she learned in kiwi can and also get to help bookmark was she need to use while doing learning. I happy that she knows that we can help her if something is wrong.

Kiwi Can / Positive Relationships/Up and Down / Street Fighter

In Kiwi Can we played two games called Street fighter and up and down. We also had to play this story game. My Favorited game I did in kiwi can is up and down. The story game was actors that acted and we had to see what will make some stop crying and feel better. Then we played street fighter. We had to do 1 2 3 4 5.  1 is puch 2 is two puch 3 is kick 4 is punch in the sky and spin and 5 is adoorgin.
I have learned alot in kiwi can.

Maths/ Questions / ABS Marthorn

Today we did maths for maths we had to make our own 5 questions with ABS Marthon Events. The Hardest question was :

 How long has the Marathon been going on for?

1923 was the year of the very first Auckland Marathon

Strategy

1923 + ? = 2017

1923 + 7 = 1930

1930 = 70 = 2000

2000 + 19 = 2019

70 + 19 + 7 = 96

The first Auckland Marathon started in 1923 and is still running to this day. How long has the Marathon been running for since 1923? 96.

This Question took about two days to answer. We worked and collaborative together to find the answers.

Question Matrix/Reading

Question Matrix We had to write questions with the 5 ws and the H Where,Why,When.What,Witch and who and how. We had to write questions with words that on that colum as example cloum 1 is do/does/how we had to make a question with one of these words. I learned from this activity was how to  write questions.

For Inquiry we have to make a Venn Diagram we had to make two differences and in the middle We worked as a group for this activity. We had to collaborative together as a team to get this done.Here is our Venn Diagram. I learned from this what is different between these to amazing people and what is the same.

Summer Learning Journey

The Summer Learning Journey Assembly has came. The Summer learning journey group came to panmure bridge to give the prize to winners and certificate. I was one of the winner because I finished the hole summer learning journey. I got a certificate and telescope. Thank you summer learning journey. 

Kiwi Can

For Kiwi Can Our  theme for kiwi can is positive Relationship. Our Topic for kiwi can is Give it a go. We had to use the 5 sense. I said give it a go means trying things your afraid of. LS2 play two games in kiwi can with a extra game. The games were called Push up challenge,1 v 1  and Road stop. My Favorited game I played in kiwi can was the push up challenge. I learned in kiwi can that give it a go means trying new things and never  give up.

Tech Refection.

The Years 7 at tech learned about coding. Our Robot names is Mbot Mbot does what ever doing we have on our laptop. We also learned more about algorithms.  Our Challenge for tech was to make a nose with our robot.
Our teacher Miss Ferguson helped us with this.

Tech Reflection/Coding,Algorithms and Robotics

Tech Reflection:

Today we went to tech. At Tech Miss Fregson was our teacher. She was helping us with Coding,algorithms and Robotics. We learned and played a game so we understand what algorithms mean. Algorithms means Introductions. She gave us an example she said what did Miss Anderson tell you when you got into the bus and when you got off the bus. 

She said to do coding when you fished coding at the robot is plunged to your laptop whatever is on your coding is on your laptop the robot will do.

Kiwi can

Our Theme for kiwi can is Positive relationships and fairness and Fairplay.  Our  Energiserm was  changing places.Our Courtesy with words were Having Manners,Being kind to one and another,Being polite,     
Courtesy without words 
Hand gestures,Body Language,Facial expressions  and one more example, Handshake with eye contact.
 Our topic was us put in groups and one group got positive and negative. My group got negative and my group was Diana,Victoria,Florence,Lily,Afatia and Liletina.

Plastic Pollution / Explanation / LS2

LI: To collaboratively structure and write an explanation

Plastic pollution in and around our waterways has become a real problem.
Each year the litter we drop  travels out to sea through drains, streams,
lagoons and estuaries. This rubbish in our oceans harms and kills millions
of sea creatures, who get caught in it or mistake it for food.

Why is plastic pollution a problem for our coastlines?

Did you know that plastic makes up 90% of the pollution on the ocean's surface? And most of that plastic waste comes from land, after being carried through drains, rivers and lagoons. This is one
of the major issues right now happening all around the world, as it’s polluting the marine environment and killing over 1,000,000 sea animals every year!...We are in a desperate need for a change.

It’s only getting worse, and we continue to sculpt a bad future for ourselves. New Zealand consumes over 30kgs of plastic a year, but only 1/6 of it is being recycled! Why? Because we choose to throw our plastic on the ground, instead of simply recycling or putting it in the bin.

All the plastic we unconsciously leave floating around on streets and pathways are slowly taking out our innocent sea animals. They mistake the pieces of plastic for food, and eat it… killing them. It even gets in our food, making it not safe to eat.

Let’s make a change, by remembering to pick up the plastic, or any piece of rubbish for that matter that we see lying around.

Summary / Reading/ LS2

This week for Reading our task was to write in Keywords. We also had to highlight the very important keywords. I learned to write a paragraph with the 6 important words.

The Treaty of Waitangi was created to bring peace between the pakeha people and the Maori people. The Treaty of Waitangi was created because the conflict and wars were getting out of hand. There were mistakes because the missionaries don’t know how to speak Maori. 

Kiwi Sport refection / Cricket / LS2

For Kiwi Sport we did cricket. Our cricket Couch Brian from the HPCC cricket club. The 2  main things we learned in kiwi sport was Batting and Bowling. Group 1 started with Batting and group 2 started with Bowling. For Batting We had try and hit the ball as far as we so we can have more runs. The Felders have to try and get the ball and put on the cone. For Bowling we had to try and throw the ball at a cone or the poles. If you hit one of them then we had to put one cone in the pole. We had to try and get all 4 cone on the poles.
I learned how to bat a ball and how to throw the ball at a cone or a pole.
The Hardest skill I learned was trying to bat the ball as far as I can.

Maths/Population

Today in maths we worked as thinking teams to find the two answers. In the Photo you will see My group members. The wiledly Addtion working out the number value of our group name. To do this we used addition stratagems and our place value knowledge.
                                                                                 

             

National Current Events.

Today we created a map DLO that shows current events around New Zealand.
We have 6 national current events in New Zealand. The article we found most interesting,
Ardie Savea being banned on tik tok. He was banned  from his doctor for dancing when he was
supposed to be in bed resting because of his knee.
The most shocking article was Southland flooding. Lukah, Acien, Vayan, Afatia, Liletina, Azatulah
and I worked as a team to complete this activity.
